Submitting a Time Off Request
To submit a request for
time off to a supervisor, click on the main "Time Off" navigation
tab at the top of the screen.
The Time
Off Requests screen displays a calendar with options in the
column on the left-hand side of the screen.
Click
on the [REQUEST TIME OFF] icon located in the column on the left-hand
side of the calendar. The Work Area
appears at the top of the screen.
The
Employee and Hire
Date are displayed. These options are not editable.
The Dates
fields allow you to select the starting and ending dates for the range
of days that you are requesting off. Click on the icons to select the dates from a calendar.
Put a check mark in
the box for each day of the week within the selected date range that you
would like to request off.
Example: A two-week date range can be selected
with Saturdays and Sundays unchecked. Requests will only be submitted
for the and Mondays through Fridays within the selected date range.
The Hours
field allows you to specify how the hours for each day off are to be requested.
- Select the desired type of absence from the Absence Policy drop-down menu
(as in "Sick," "Vacation," "PTO," etc.).
If the selected absence is attached to an accrual policy, the policy name
is displayed with your available number of accrued hours.
- Select the supervisor that you would like to send
this absence request to from the Send
To drop-down menu.
- Enter any desired Notes
about the absence. There is a maximum of 150 characters.
- To complete the time off request, click on
the [CREATE] icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
