Updating
Usernames and Passwords
To update the username and password for an existing
user, click on the "User Security" link
located under the System
Tools section of the main "Admin"
tab.
Searching for Users
The Users
section at the top of the screen allows you to
search for an existing user. All search criteria
fields are optional.
- If you would like to search for users of
a specific type, make the desired selection
from the Role
drop-down menu.
- Enter the desired User
Name.
- If the user that you would like to edit
is attached to a specific employee in the
system, enter the employee's First
Name.
- Enter the Last
Name of the employee that the user
is attached to, if desired.
- If you would like to search for users assigned
to a specific Department
only, click on the "No Department"
link, and make the desired selection from
the tree-directory that appears.
- Select the desired Sort
By option from the drop-down menu.
Click on the [DISPLAY] icon to search for users.
The search results are displayed in the bottom
section of the screen.
Note:
Clicking on [DISPLAY] with no search criteria
entered will bring up all users that have been
entered into the system.
Editing Users
Found users are displayed in the bottom section
of the screen. The following information is displayed
for each user:
- User Name:
This is the user name that the employee must
enter when logging into the system. The setting
in this field is a link. Click on the link
to edit user information.
- Full Name:
If the user is attached to a specific employee
in the system, the full name of the employee
is displayed in this field.
- Role:
This is the Security Role that the user is
assigned to in the system (as in "Admin,"
"Employee," "Supervisor,"
etc.).
- Click on the icon
to inactivate a user. Inactive users are not
allowed to log into the system, but are retained
for historical purposes or later reactivation.
- The Inactive
Users section of the screen displays
your inactive users. Click on the link in
the User
Name column to review user information.
Click on the "Activate" link to
return the user to active use in the system,
or the icon to
permanently remove the user from the system.
Review or edit user information as desired.
Click on the [UPDATE] icon to save any changes
that you have made.
