Crossing Midnight General Requirements

The following general requirements apply to crossing midnight rules.

• Hours are generated on the Time Card date where the punches are displayed.
• Separate rules are used for scheduled and unscheduled punches.
• Holidays, Threshold Premiums and Holiday Premiums are applied to hours generated by punch pairs that are displayed on the date affected. However, Window Premiums are still based off of the actual date/time worked.
• "Unscheduled Hours" errors are shown only on dates where shifts are displayed. "Not Scheduled" errors appear only on days where punches exist, but shifts do not.
• Crossing midnight also takes into consideration crossing pay periods to ensure that both periods are calculated correctly.
• The ability exists to override the rule for a specified date, and manually specify the date that a punch pair is displayed on.
• Time Reports display the punch pairs and hours based on the date the entries exist on the Time Card.
