Advanced
Mappings
When exporting hours and earnings totals from
TimeForce II, certain payroll interfaces require
a way to map a single Pay Code that can be used
when an hours record contains multiple codes.
For example, when multiple Premium Pay Codes apply
to one hours record, this option allows you to
map one code for exporting purposes.
The Employee and/or Worked Department is selected,
and the desired combination of "Base,"
"Overtime" and "Premium Pay Codes"
on hours records is specified. Only hours containing
the specified combination will be exported using
the advanced pay code.
- Click on the main "Close Pay Period"
navigation tab, and then on the [ADVANCED
MAPPINGS] icon located under the Payroll
Interface section of the screen.
- If you would like to select a specific
employee for this code to pertain to, make
the desired selection from the Employee
drop-down menu. Otherwise, select "All
Employees."
- If you would like to specify a department
level for this code, make the desired selection
from the Department
drop-down menu. "No Department"
and "All Departments" can also be
selected.
- Select the appropriate Base
Pay Code from the drop-down menu.
- If you would like to specify an Overtime
Pay Code, make the desired selection
from the drop-down menu. Otherwise, select
"No Overtime Pay Code."
- Use the Premium
Pay Codes section to specify the codes
that should pertain to this mapping. All codes
are listed in the Unselected
box. Highlight the desired codes and click
on the icon.
The codes are moved to the Selected
box. Put a check mark in the Any
option at the top of the field to select all
Premium Pay Codes.
- When an hours record matches the required
combination of codes, it will be exported
using the code specified in the Export
Code field. Note that certain payroll
interfaces require export codes to be set
up in a specific manner. Ensure that you are
familiar with the requirements of the payroll
program that you are using.
- Click on the [ADD] icon. The Advanced Mapping
is added to the system.
Each Advanced Mapping is displayed at the bottom
of the screen. Click on the
icon to remove a mapping from the system.
