Exporting
						 Data
Use to following instructions to set up exporting
						 in the TimeForce II program.
						Export Codes
An employee's Time Card will typically include
at least a couple of different hours types (as
						 in "Regular Hours," "Overtime Level
						 1," "Vacation Time," etc.). When
the Pay Codes for these hours types are entered
into the system, the "Export Code" is
included as part of the setup process.

						Export Templates
Before you will be able to export your hours
and earnings information to an external payroll
program, you must first create a template for
the program that you would like to export to.

						Advanced Pay Code Mappings
When exporting hours and earnings totals from
TimeForce II, certain payroll interfaces require
a way to map a single pay code that can be used
when an hours record contains multiple codes.
For example, when multiple Premium Pay Codes apply
to one hours record, this option allows you to
map one code for exporting purposes.

Assigning an Export Template to a Pay Period
The export template that will be used when exporting
to a payroll software is assigned as part of the
						 Pay Period setup.

						Program Specific Export Specifications
The steps to creating a template vary depending
on the payroll program being used. However, the
basic procedures to creating a template are the
same regardless of which program you are using.
This topic provides you with a list of file formats
and specifications for the program that you are
						 using.

						ASCII vs. UTF-8 Encoding
Some payroll programs require a specific encoding
format on files being imported into the system.
Use the following instructions to override the
default encoding, and specify the format used
						 on export and report files.
