Creating Punch Groups

Before you can use Mass Entry, you must first create the groups of employees that you would like to create entries for. This punch group works as a template only. Employees can be added or removed from the selected group as mass entries are created.

  1. Click on the main "My Screen" navigation tab, and then on the "Mass Entries" link at the top of the screen.
  2. The Mass Groups heading appears at the top of the screen, displaying each punch group currently in the system. To create a  new punch group, click on the [ADD GROUP] icon located on the right-hand side of the Mass Groups header.
  3. In the Name field, enter a name for this punch group as you would like it to appear in the system.
  4. The Employees section of the screen contains two boxes, "Unused" and "Used."

    • When creating a new punch group, each employee in the TimeForce II database is displayed in the "Unused" box. Select the employees that you would like to assign to the punch group (to select multiple employees, hold down the {CTRL} or {SHIFT} keys while selecting). Click on the icon_assign.jpg icon. the selected employees are moved to the "Used" box.
    • To remove employees from the punch group, select the desired employees in the "Used" box, and click on the icon_unassign.jpg icon. The selected employees are moved back to the "Unused" box.

  5. Once you have finished adding employees to the punch group, click on the [CREATE] icon located below the selection boxes. You are returned to the main Mass Groups screen.
  6. To edit an existing punch group, select the group that you would like to modify from the Mass Groups section of the screen and click on the [EDIT GROUP] icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. To remove a punch group from the system, click on the icon_delete.jpg icon located to the right of the desired group.
