Creating
Job Layouts
Once the components of your jobs have been entered
into the system, Job Layouts can be created. These
layouts allow you to select any number of components
in a configuration that represents the jobs that
you perform on a regular basis.
Job Layouts can be made up of components from
as many, or as few, of your Job Levels as you
desire. For example, if you do not wish to use
layouts for job "Level 1" and "Level
2" but only use them for "Level 3,"
layouts specific to that job level can be created
with no settings specified for levels 1 or 2.
- From the main Job
Layouts screen, click on the [ADD]
icon located in the Active
Job Layouts section of
the screen.
- Enter a Name
for this layout as you would like it to appear
in the program.
- If you would like to assign a component
for Level
1 to this layout, make the desired
selection from the drop-down menu.
Note:
Click on the [ADD] icon to create a new component
at the bottom of the screen.
- The Level
2 section allows you to assign the
desired components for Job Level 2 to this
layout. By default, all components are unselected.
To assign components to the layout, highlight
the desired components in the Unselected
box and click on the
icon. The components are moved to the Selected
section of the screen.
Note:
Click on the [ADD] icon to create a new component
at the bottom of the screen.
- The Level
3 section allows you to assign the
desired components for Job Level 3 to this
layout. By default, all components are unselected.
To assign components to the layout, highlight
the desired components in the Unselected
box and click on the
icon. The components are moved to the Selected
section of the screen.
Note:
Click on the [ADD] icon to create a new component
at the bottom of the screen.
Once you have selected the desired components
for each Job Level, click on the [CREATE] icon
to save the Job Layout.
Existing layouts are displayed in the Active Job Layouts
section of the main screen. Click on the link
under the Name
column to edit layout settings. Click on the icon
to inactivate a layout. Inactive layouts are not
used by the system, but are retained for later
use.
