Punch Error List

The following is a list of "Punch" error codes and their definitions.

Error Definition
Break Discrepancies The employee has clocked out for a break that differs from the Break Policy that they are assigned to. By default an abbreviation of "BD" appears on the Time Card.
Too Many Breaks The employee has clocked out for more breaks than they are allowed according to the Break Policy that they are assigned to. By default and abbreviation of "MB" appears on the Time Card.
Long Break A break on the employee's Time Card exceeds the break amount specified in the Break Policy that they are assigned to. By default an abbreviation of "LB" appears on the Time Card.
Missed Punch For every "IN" punch, there must be a subsequent "OUT" punch. This error indicates that there is a missing punch on the time card for that day. By default an abbreviation of "MP" appears on the Time Card.
Department Mismatch The employee has specified a department number when clocking in at the clock, and has entered a different department number when clocking out. By default an abbreviation of "DM" appears on the Time Card.
Duplicate Punch The employee has more than one punch for the same time of day. This can occur when employees punch more than once at the time clock in the same minute. By default an abbreviation of "DP" appears on the Time Card.
IQ 1000 Punch Errors

This error occurs when an employee has attempted to punch at the clock at a time when they are not allowed (as defined by the IQ 1000 "Allowed Periods" setting). By default an abbreviation of "IQ" appears on the Time Card.
Note: This error is used with the model IQ 1000 time clock only.

No Job

This error occurs when an employee who is assigned to a Job in the system creates a punch without specifying a job number. By default an abbreviation of "NJ" appears on the Time Card.

Job Mismatch This error occurs when an employee has punched "IN" at the time clock with one job number, and "OUT" with different job number. By default an abbreviation of "JM" appears on the Time Card.
No Task This error occurs when an employee who s assigned to a Task in the system enters a punch without specifying a task number. By default an abbreviation of "NT" appears on the Time Card.
Task Mismatch This error occurs when the employee has punched "IN" at the time clock with one task number, and "OUT" with a different task number. By default an abbreviation of "TM" appears on the Time Card.
Not Allowed on Job This error occurs when the employee has punched into a job that they have been restricted from working on in the system. By default and abbreviation of "XJ" appears on the Time Card.
Not Allowed on Task This error occurs when the employee has punched into a task that they have been restricted from working on in the system. By default and abbreviation of "XT" appears on the Time Card.
