Creating
Verification Policies
From the main "Admin" tab, click on
the "Verification Policies" link located
under the Policies
section of the screen. Click on the [ADD] icon
to create a new policy.
- Enter a Name
for the Verification Policy as you would like
it to appear in the system.
- Specify how many levels need to be verified
with this policy (up to five levels can be
specified). For example, if your company requires
that the employee, supervisor and payroll
director all verify time card data before
payroll is processed, three levels would be
specified. A line appears for each level.
- The Levels
section allows you to enter a name for each
level, as you would like it to appear in the
system.
- The Sequence
drop-down menus allow you to specify in what
order the levels must be verified. "Any"
means that the policy can be verified at any
time. "One" means that this is the
first verification policy that needs to be
verified, with the exception of "Any."
"Two" thorough "Five"
must be verified in order after "One."
A level set to "Five" must be verified
very last. This setting would be used if your
company requires that the employee verify
his or her time card before their supervisor,
or if supervisors must verify time cards before
the payroll director, etc.
The Frequency
allows you to select how often this policy
must be verified. The available options are
as follows:
- Once a pay period has been verified, any
changes made to the time card data will remove
all verification, requiring it to be performed
again. Put a check mark in the Notify
Via E-Mail option if you would
like the system to send an e-mail to the users
who originally verified the time card telling
them that it is now unverified.
- The Number
of Days option allows you to specify
the number of days up to which the system
will notify users upon login that they need
to verify their time card.
Once all settings have been entered, click on
the [CREATE] icon to save the Verification Policy.
Editing and Deleting Existing Policies
Each policy that you have created appears in
the Verification
Policies section of the screen.
- Click on the link in the Name
column to edit policy settings.
- Click on the icon
to delete the Verification Policy.
