Clocks
The following instructions walk you through
creating Time Clock Profiles in TimeForce II.
This allows the Clock Server or ClockLink utilities
to connect to your clock(s) and download the stored
punch data.
Note that the following topics are specific
to how the TimeForce II program itself interacts
with and uses time clocks. Refer to documentation
specific to your clock model for detailed usage
instructions. Refer to Clock Server/ClockLink
help for instructions on setting up and using
these separate utilities.
Time Clock Profiles
Before the system can communicate with a time
clock, you must first create a profile for each
clock in the TimeForce II program.
Uploading Information
Multiple levels of information can be uploaded
to the time clock from the TimeForce II database.
The types of information that can be uploaded
to your time clock vary greatly depending on the
model of the clock being used. Refer to your model-specific
instructions for details on which features are
available for you to use.
Finger Templates
Finger templates are stored in the memory of
the time clock itself, as well as in the TimeForce
II database. This allows you to easily transfer
templates from one time clock to another, and
saves you the lengthy process of enrolling employees
individually at multiple clocks.
This feature is for use with clocks equipped
with a template module only.
Clock Groups
Clock Groups allow you to create groups
to attach to your time clock profiles. These can
be useful when viewing the profiles to see only
the clocks assigned to the specified group.
Clock Messages
Certain models of time clock give you the option
of displaying a message on the face of the clock
itself when your employees punch in or out. These
messages can be displayed to the entire company,
on a departmental basis, or individually to specific
employees.
