Pay Period Workflow
The "Close Pay Period Workflow" is
the steps included in closing a Pay Period. This
workflow is customized as a part of the Pay Period
setup.
Click on the main "Admin" tab, and
then on the "Pay Periods" link located
under the Policies
header. Click on the link in the Name column
to edit an existing Pay Period. Click on [ADD]
to create a new period.
The Close Pay
Period Workflow section appears at the
bottom of the screen. A drop-down menu exists
for Steps 1 - 7. Each of these is a step that
you will perform when closing a Pay Period. The
available options are as follows.

Verification |
This
screen displays whether the required employee/supervisor
verification has been performed. |
Review Time Card Error
Report |
This
screen displays each employee with punch
errors on their Time Cards. |
Review Payroll Data |
This
screen displays employee grand totals
for the Pay Period broken down by pay
code, overtime, disbursements, etc. |
Close Pay Period and Lock |
This
step allows you to complete the Pay Period
and to lock it so that no further edits
can be made. |
Process Accruals |
This
step generates accruals for employees
based on the hours represented in this
Pay period. |
Print Time Cards |
This
screen generates the "Time Card"
from the Reports section of the program. |
Export to Payroll |
This
step allows you to export your time and
attendance data to an external payroll
program. |
Select the steps that you would like to
include when closing this Pay Period. To
skip a step, select the blank space at the top
of the drop-down list. All blank steps should
be at the bottom of the workflow.
Click on the [SAVE] icon at the bottom of the
screen to save the changes that you have made.
